FAQ

Our designs are created with an adult audience in mind. Some collections contain mature humor, suggestive themes, kink references, and other content that may not be appropriate for younger audiences.

Consider yourself warned. Or intrigued. We don’t judge.

Some are. Some aren’t.

You’ll find everything from designs you could wear to the grocery store without anyone blinking to designs that might make someone in aisle seven do a double take.

Each product is clearly pictured and described, so you can decide exactly how much trouble you’d like your shirt to cause.

Available sizes are listed on each individual product page. Because availability can vary by shirt style, color, and collection, always check the product listing before ordering.

Colors vary depending on the collection and design.

Many Backroom collections stick to our darker aesthetic with colors such as Black, Charcoal, and Maroon, while select collections may feature additional colors chosen specifically to complement the artwork.

Available options are shown on each product page.

Our apparel is professionally decorated using high-quality DTF (Direct-to-Film) transfers designed to produce vibrant, durable prints with excellent detail.

Because apparently our bad decisions deserve good print quality.

Yes. Most Backroom apparel is produced specifically for you after your order is placed.

Making products to order helps us offer more designs and variations without maintaining massive amounts of unnecessary inventory.

Because our apparel is made to order, please allow time for production before your order ships or is ready for pickup.

Current production estimates will be provided during ordering whenever possible. During launches, holidays, promotions, or periods of unusually high demand, production may take a little longer.

Trust us. The Backroom is worth waiting for.

Yes.

Your order will arrive in standard shipping packaging without explicit descriptions of the products inside.

What happens after you open the package is between you and your closet.

Shipping labels may contain the business or fulfillment name necessary to process and deliver your order, but we do not plaster explicit product names or descriptions across your package.

For the longest life of your shirt and design:

  • Turn the garment inside out before washing.
  • Machine wash cold with similar colors.
  • Avoid bleach.
  • Do not iron directly over the printed design.
  • Tumble dry low or hang dry when possible.

Treat it nicely. It’s probably already been through enough.

Because most of our apparel is made to order, returns and exchanges may be limited.

If we made a mistake, your item arrived damaged, or you received the wrong product, please contact us as soon as possible so we can make it right.

Please review sizing, colors, and product details carefully before placing your order.

Because shirts are produced specifically for each order, we may not be able to replace items ordered in the wrong size.

Please review the sizing information provided before ordering.

Measure twice. Order once. Regret other decisions instead.

Yes. Product images are digital mockups intended to show the approximate appearance of the finished item.

Colors can vary slightly depending on your screen, garment color, shirt size, printing, and other production factors.

Minor variations are normal and make each finished piece slightly unique.

Custom work may be available depending on the request and current production schedule.

We’ve probably heard worse.

Absolutely.

We can’t promise we’ll make every suggestion, but we’re always interested in hearing what our customers want to see next.

If enough people ask for something questionable, eventually it starts sounding like a business opportunity.

No.

Pride isn’t seasonal around here.

Our LGBTQ+ designs can remain available throughout the year unless a particular product or collection is retired.

No. Our kink-inspired designs are apparel, humor, and self-expression. They aren’t instructions, education, or substitutes for informed consent and responsible practices.

Consent isn’t optional. Ever.

Sometimes.

Collections may be expanded, redesigned, retired, or dragged into the deepest corner of The Backroom without much warning.

If you see something you absolutely need, waiting forever probably isn’t the best strategy.
